Revelation Knowledge is the knowledge that comes from the Spirit of God as He breathes upon the pages of Scripture.

Proverbs 29:18 (NKJV)

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint. 

• Revelation knowledge unstops deaf ears and opens a man’s eyes to see what happened to him when Christ died on the cross – 1 Corinthians 15:8.
• Revelation knowledge brings divine encounters and FULL SALVATION.
• Revelation knowledge gives us boldness to live out the Word and preach the Word so that by our lives, the Father will glorify His Son.

Thank the Lord for the Holy Spirit, our Helper, Who brings revelation knowledge of the Word to us.

Revelation knowledge only comes to those who hunger for it.

Proverbs 2:3-6 (NIV) 
- indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Prayer

• Lord, I am calling out for insight and crying aloud for understanding. It is from Your mouth that knowledge and understanding comes. Please give me insight into Your Word and understanding of Your will and Your way.
• Grant that I will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
• Give me a continuous and deeper revelation of what happened to me on the cross when Christ was crucified. Keep me knowing Romans 6:6.
• Give me a revelation of the heart of Jesus.
• Make me persistent and hungry for Your Word. I know that if I keep asking, seeking and knocking in the secret place, the door will be open to me.

Revelation knowledge lifts the veil.

2 Corinthians 3:14b
...the veil is taken away in Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:16-18

Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.  Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Thank the Lord that the veil has been taken away in Christ.

Prayer

• Lord, establish me inside Christ.
• Please put a finger on anything that will not allow me to turn to You so that the veil can be taken away, and I will be quick to repent.
• Bring me into the liberty that the Spirit of the Lord gives, so that I can receive revelation knowledge that will transform me into Your image from glory to glory.

Revelation knowledge gives us eternal life.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6

And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

John 6:63

 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Prayer

• Lord, please let my interaction with Your Word be deep. I want to touch the Spirit Word.
• Deliver me from all that encumbers and give me grace to settle at Your feet.
• Open my eyes of understanding and grant me entrance to Your Word.
• Please breathe upon the Letter Word as I read and meditate. I plead with You to release the hidden meaning to me so that I can have life.

Any Truth of the Word that comes to us by revelation knowledge must be lived out and be real in our lives before we can declare it to others.

Prayer

• Cry out to God to write what we must know on our hearts so that the things that are true in Him will be true in us. 1 John 2:8.

Grace of the Lord Jesus (Titus 2:11-14)

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14 Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works

 Prayer

• Thank you Jesus, for locating me with grace & mercy.
• Lord, let grace teach me to deny myself, let grace teach me how to live,
• Lord, let grace make me expectant of that glorious hope by focusing my mind and affections on the things of God. 

Love of God (Romans 5:5)

5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

• Thank You for the grace of God that has brought us into the Love of God
• Lord, the grace that teaches us to love just as you love please grant me today
• Grant me the compassionate heart of Jesus that is filled with Love
• Holy Spirit, please pour the love of God into my heart.

Fellowship of the Holy Spirit. (John 16:12-15)

• Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit
• Lord let grace and the love of God bring me into constant fellowship, communion with the Holy Spirit.
• As I enter continuous fellowship with the Holy Spirit please lead me and guide me into all truth.
• Lord Jesus, as I commune with You by the Help of the Holy Spirit let all my ideas & will be submerged into the will of the Holy Spirit. Cause me not to have a will of my own any longer.
• Holy Spirit as I enter into fellowship with You please release the fullness of the Spirit unto me.

Winepress of the Cross

New wine in biblical days was the fresh sweet wine obtained when grapes are trod upon, bruised and crushed in a winepress to extract the juice.  

It was the sweetest drink available, made from grapes from current year’s harvest. It was refreshing, plentiful (with vats full to overflowing) and intoxicating. The sweet aroma of grapes filled the air and it brought joy to the people.

Jesus Christ likened new wine to the dispensation of grace, in which He ministered among men through God’s Spirit in Him unlike the Pharisees. He said, “...no one puts new wine into old wineskins…” - Luke 5:37a.  

Concerning the ministry of Jesus, Matthew 9:35-38 records:

Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. ³⁶ But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. ³⁷ Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few.³⁸ Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.”

The situation of our generation is also dire. If we want to be among those labourers who carry the compassionate heart of Jesus; if we want to be among those labourers who, like Peter, rose up in the power of the Holy Spirit to preach Jesus and the people were cut to the heart saying, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”, then we must pray to the Lord of the Harvest to lead us to the winepress of the cross from where He sends out His labourers:

• As ‘grapes’ to be bruised;
• As ‘grape tramplers’ to be used to bruise the head of the serpent. 

This is the only way fresh new wine can be produced from our lives; the kind that has the power to tear the veil of the flesh that blinds people from the truth of the gospel, and heal the world from the disease of sin. Jesus is not asking us to do what He has not already done. He was the first to report to the winepress of the cross where He was bruised in order to bruise the head of the serpent. On His cross, Gen 3:15 was fulfilled - “ He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”

Prayer

• Pray to the Lord of the harvest and ask Him to send us out as labourers into His harvest. Ask Him to lead us to the winepress of the cross every day – as ‘grapes’ and as ‘grape tramplers’ so that the new wine of the Holy Spirit can flow out from us into the world.

As Grapes

Example of Jesus:

Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV) - But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Must Jesus bear the cross alone? 

And all the world go free?

No there’s a cross for everyone, 

And there’s a cross for me.

Example of the Apostles: The apostles knew that there was a cross for them so they reported to the winepress of the cross for their bruising - bruising of persecution for Jesus’ sake, bruising of trials and tribulations, bruising from a life of repentance.

2 Cor. 4:7-12 (NKJV)

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. ⁸ We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; ⁹ persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— ¹⁰ always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. ¹¹ For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. ¹² So then death is working in us, but life in you.

Prayer

• Open my eyes to see the treasure of Your divine life You suffered to give me.
• Help me to know that I must bear the wounding and bruising necessary for new wine to flow from me. Please break every barrier hindering its flow from my life.
• Grant me grace to always carry in my body the dying of the Lord Jesus so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in my body.
• Help me to understand that it is necessary for me to be delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, knowing that life comes out of death.
• Bring it to reality in my life through the excellency of your power at work in me that:

o   Though hard-pressed on every side, I will not be crushed. 

o   Though perplexed, I will not be in despair.

o   Though persecuted, I will not be forsaken.

o   Though struck down, I will not be destroyed.

Isaiah 53:10 (NKJV) - Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. 

Job 5:17-18 (NKJV) - “Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. ¹⁸ For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole.

God allows us to be bruised as He did with Jesus. This is how God makes His men in every generation. Those who understand the way of God, count it all joy when they are in the winepress of the cross. They do not dodge God's dealings with them. "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith will produce patience." - James 1:2

Prayer

• Lord, settle it in me that I must be wounded and bruised in order to correctly bear Your life among men and deliver Your message to my generation.
• Please Lord, do not let me despise Your corrections, no matter who You send to me.
• Grant me grace to allow You to bruise me as You please, knowing that You will also bind me up.
• Keep me focused on the new wine that will issue from my life as I am being wounded and bruised, so that I can rejoice in the winepress.
• Let my only sorrowing in the winepress of the cross be godly sorrow that produces repentance.
• Help my heart not to dodge the winepress of the cross because if my ‘grapes’ are not crushed in its season, it will no longer be fit for new wine.

As ‘Grape Tramplers’

How are we trampling on the grapes?  If grapes are pressed too softly, not enough juice will be extracted for the new wine. The harder the pressing, the more juice will flow.

Example of Jesus:

Isaiah 63:1-6 (TLB) - Who is this who comes from Edom, from the city of Bozrah, with his magnificent garments of crimson? Who is this in royal robes, marching in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, the Lord, announcing your salvation; I, the Lord, the one who is mighty to save!”² “Why are your clothes so red, as from treading out the grapes?” ³ “I have trodden the winepress alone. No one was there to help me. In my wrath I have trodden my enemies like grapes. In my fury I trampled my foes. It is their blood you see upon my clothes. ⁴ For the time has come for me to avenge my people, to redeem them from the hands of their oppressors. ⁵ I looked but no one came to help them; I was amazed and appalled. So I executed vengeance alone; unaided, I meted out judgment. ⁶ I crushed the heathen nations in my anger and made them stagger and fall to the ground.”

Jesus trampled over his enemies with a vengeance. He fatally crushed and destroyed the old man and all his products of his life, and returned victoriously to announce our salvation.

Col. 2:15 - “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Prayer

• Lord, You have announced my salvation and You are mighty to save. Please put a finger on every work of the flesh still lurking in my life. Expose them and bring me to repentance.
• Please unleash the Your vengeance on every sinful habit, every manifestation of self (good or bad) and every philosophy of life of the old man and separate me completely from them.
• Crush every ‘heathen nation’ in my heart and cause them to stagger and fall.
• Please Lord, help me. I must produce new wine in abundance for Your glory.

I die daily as I carry my cross

Live and Walk in the Spirit

Galatians 5:24– 25 (KJV)
"And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature together with its passions and appetites. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

Crucify – to put a person to death by nailing /binding them to the cross. The process of crucifixion is painful, merciless and it is absolute renunciation

• Don’t be conformed to your former desires - those that shaped you when you were ignorant. But, as obedient children, you must be holy in every aspect of your lives, just as the one who called you is holy.  It is written, You will be holy, because I am holy (1 Peter 1:14-16 CEB).
• The only way to live and walk in the Spirit is to get rid of/evacuate all the debris the old man /natural man/ human nature left behind with all its evil/sinful/selfish desires, feelings, passions and appetites.  So that the Holy Spirit can fully be revealed in us.
• Death to sinful nature/ removing the debris opens the way to life in the Spirit (Romans 8:8-9).
• If we live by the power of the Holy Spirit (Christ himself dwelling in us) then there must be outward working /walking of the life within (John 15:4).
• He must be the One in charge of every detail of our lives each day, i.e. live each moment by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit's power that works in us, right from waking up to going to bed. Allow Him to led/guide/direct/speak and follow all His directions and instructions.
• There is a need to submit every aspect of our lives to God - emotional, physical, social, intellectual, career etc.

Prayer

• Thank God for the enabling power of the Holy Spirit because without Him we can do nothing.
• Lord, I know that I cannot fully enter what You are calling me into without getting rid of all the debris the old man left behind. Help me make haste with my decluttering. Anything that is still an obstacle and preventing me from experiencing the life Christ has promised me, please empty/flush/rid/evacuate me of them.
• Submerge me fully inside Christ. Cause my life to be completely controlled /guided/ led by the Spirit. Every aspect of my life from my waking to my sleeping, even my sleeping, let it be by the Spirit of God. Help me, O Lord.
• Lord, let your power inside of me begin to help me live and walk as you did while on earth. Cause it to constantly lead me into all truth, for Your Word is Truth. Bring me into complete and total obedience just as You obeyed the Father.
• Lord Jesus, you did nothing without receiving instructions from the Father. Please help my life. Settle me down in the place of the Word and prayer and also help me not to be isolated from other brethren.

Ezekiel 17:9 -  The heart is deceitful above all things and it is extremely sick; who can understand it fully and know its secret motives?

Matthew 21:12-13 - Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. ¹³ And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a ‘den of thieves'."

Proverbs 4:23 - Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Proverbs 23:15 - My son, if your heart is wise, my heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself.

The condition of our heart is critical in our walk with the Lord and the first character of Holy Spirit is Holiness/Purity.

Prayers

• God,  I want you to come into the temple of my heart and overturn the tables of anger, bitterness unforgiveness, lies, wickedness, evil thought and covetousness.

• Lord, dig into the den of my heart. Expose it and chase all evil and dangerous things that Your eyes cannot behold out of me.

• Father, overturn all the seats of sin or dead works of my heart today.

• Everything that is unholy, and has not given space to Holy Spirit to operate in me, chase them out, O Lord.

• God, please turn my heart to an acceptable home for Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 36:25-26 -Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. ²⁶ I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Luke 5

Vs. 29-35 (AMP)

 “Levi (Matthew) gave a great banquet for Him at his house; and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining at the table with them. ³⁰ The Pharisees and their scribes [seeing those with whom He was associating] began murmuring in discontent to His disciples, asking, “Why are you eating and drinking with the tax collectors and sinners [including non-observant Jews]?” ³¹ And Jesus replied to them, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but [only] those who are sick. ³² I did not come to call the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to repent], but sinners to repentance [to change their old way of thinking, to turn from sin and to seek God and His righteousness].”

³³ Then they said to Him, “The disciples of John [the Baptist] often practice fasting and offer prayers [of special petition], and so do the disciples of the Pharisees; but Yours eat and drink.”³⁴ Jesus said to them, “Can you make the wedding guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? ³⁵ But days [for mourning] will come when the bridegroom is [forcefully] taken away from them. They will fast in those days.”

Jesus was questioned by the Pharisees and teachers of the law that had already tasted the old wine, about why His disciples were not fasting. It was good enough for them, and made them feel good.  They were used to it and could not imagine anything better than what they had or the experience they had, so they tried to "corner HIM" so to speak.  They attempted to place human expectations on Him based on their old models, which He would not accept.

Prayer:    

• Lord, help me to let go of my past experiences that will stop change from taking place in me, according to Your plans.

Vs. 26-39

 ”He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and puts it on an old one; otherwise he will both tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old.³⁷ And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new [fermenting] wine will [expand and] burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. ³⁸ But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.³⁹ And no one, after drinking old wine, wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is fine.’”

Wine is made from crushing grapes and releasing the juices. Then the juice is fermented, so that it converts to alcohol.  This process of fermentation releases gases as the chemical process occurs.  This process takes time, and while it is happening, there needs to be a place for the gases to go. New wine kept in new wineskins would stretch and not break whereas the old wineskins would break.

Vs. 37 

"And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new [fermenting] wine will [expand and] burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined."

I see the “New Wine” as the Holy Spirit and His operations - fermenting change that the old forms or ways things have been set could not contain.

Prayers

• Dear Lord, let your Holy Spirit and Your complete gospel do a total and full work of change in my life and  my home.
• Make my life have impact on the lives of people and nations you have attached to my life.
• Help me Lord, not to listen to teachings that are a form of “yeast” which is out to alter the full and true gospel and the works of the Holy Spirit in my life.
• Part of the works of the Holy Spirit is to remove any works of the flesh remaining in our lives - “yeasts”. Lord, please hasten the evacuation process in my life.
• New wineskins were always required to preserve the sweetness of the juice because they are free from residual yeast.
• Make my life free of “residual yeast” Lord, so that my life - my new wineskin - will be able to preserve Your Word and be totally effective.

The full gospel is to be preserved and spread around without being contaminated. The Holy Spirit must be allowed to carry out His works. I see us as people who are fortunate and have been given the opportunity to preserve the “New Wine” for as long as possible. Take His Word as it is delivered to us; do not contaminate it. Spread it and allow the Holy Spirit a free flow.

Prayers 

• Lord, help me not to disappoint You, nor delay Your work, nor terminate the work which you have started and You have called me to be a part of
• It is only by the help of the Holy Spirit that we can break all barriers to spread the gospel. Let us ask for His help.
•  Lord, let Your sacrifice at the Cross of Calvary not be wasted on account of my life.

Highlights

• Secret things belong to the Lord.
• Things which are revealed belong to us and our children forever.
• Secrets and mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been given unto us (already given to us, not will be).  To the crowd it has not been given. Jesus said this in response to the question, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
• It is our Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom. Lk 12:32.

Our Need

We need the Holy Spirit to face the challenges of this generation. The Holy Spirit is the promise of our Saviour to teach us and remind us of all the Lord has taught us. Jn 14:26.

We need the Holy Spirit to “make us” agents of transformation wherever the Lord places us. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Psalm 24:1.

As we long for the manifestation of the power of God and the glory of God in His Church, as we cry to God for a Church without wrinkle or blemish, all we need is embedded in the power of the Holy Spirit. Come Holy Spirit divine!!!

Prayer Points

• Breathe on me afresh, breath of God and fill me with life anew.
• Lord, grant us the grace to wait - in the place of prayer, in obedience to Your Word and all godly authority that you have placed over us.
• Let the fire of the Holy Spirit fall on us, as in the Day of Pentecost.
• Father, give us strategy for how to populate Your Kingdom; give us strategy for every task You have assigned to us.
• Your command is for us to make disciples. You are the first to make disciples of nations. Birth in us the zeal; birth in us Your compassion for souls; birth in us a desire to make You known amongst men.
• As Simeon was divinely instructed by the Holy Spirit that he will not see death before seeing the Lord Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, instruct us in all we will do. Luke 2:26.
