Matthew 5:8 – Blessed are the
pure in heart for they shall see God.
Ezekiel 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things and it is extremely sick; who
can understand it fully and know its secret motives?
Matthew 21:12-13 - Then Jesus
went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the
temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those
who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is
written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a
‘den of thieves'."
Proverbs 4:23 - Keep your heart with
all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.
Proverbs 23:15 - My son, if your
heart is wise, my heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself.
The
condition of our heart is critical in our walk with the Lord and the first
character of Holy Spirit is Holiness/Purity.
Prayers
- God,
I want you to come into the temple of my heart and overturn the
tables of anger, bitterness unforgiveness, lies, wickedness, evil thought
and covetousness.
- Lord,
dig into the den of my heart. Expose it and chase all evil and dangerous
things that Your eyes cannot behold out of me.
- Father,
overturn all the seats of sin or dead works of my heart today.
- Everything
that is unholy, and has not given space to Holy Spirit to operate in me,
chase them out, O Lord.
- God,
please turn my heart to an acceptable home for Holy Spirit.
