Power from on High: A Life That Glorifies God

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear [to hear] them now. 13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future]. 14 He will glorify and honour me, because He (the Holy Spirit) will take from what is Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Because of this I said that He [the Spirit] will take from what is Mine and will reveal it to you.”

12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear [to hear] them now.’’

  • This is an invitation to deeper revelation and instruction.
  • That which eyes have not seen and ears have not heard and has not entered into the heart of men, He has prepared for us.
  • What is making the Lord to hold back from given me/us the strong meat (Hebrews 5:14)?
  • The Holy Spirit is dynamic. He will come to us daily when we totally surrender.
  • Yielding to the Holy Spirit removes the dullness of hearing.

Prayer Point
  • Father, I thank You for this great invitation to me for a deeper revelation into Your truth.
  • Lord, give me a great thirst to desire a deeper revelation of You (Philippians 3:10).
  • Lord, increase my capacity to bear what You have to say.
  • Lord, I submit to Your quick work; tune my ears, eyes and heart to Your instructions (Proverbs 20:12).
  • Lord, give me the grace to bear what You are saying to me by Your Spirit expressly. (1 Timothy 4:1a).

13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].

  • The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth.
  • He is the one who reveals the full and complete truth.
  • To work in this, I must submit to Him always.

“14 He will glorify and honour me, because He (the Holy Spirit) will take from what is Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Because of this I said that He [the Spirit] will take from what is Mine and will reveal it to you.

  • The Holy Spirit is the one who reveals Jesus.
  • In His light, we see light. Without Him, we grope in thick darkness.
  • That which glorifies Christ is of the Holy Spirit and anything that does not glorify Christ is not of the Spirit.
  • The Holy Spirit teaches us to magnify Christ.
  • The Holy Spirit in us will make us glorify Jesus.

Prayer Points
  • Father, sit as a Refiner upon me and purify my soul.
  • Lord, use Your sharp sword (Word) and gather all the chaff (dead works) and consume it with Your fire.
  • Lord, destroy anything that does not reveal and glorify Christ in me.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-15 (AMP)

“But we should and are [morally] obligated [as debtors] always to give thanks to God for you, believers beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through the sanctifying work of the Spirit [that sets you apart for God’s purpose] and by your faith in the truth [of God’s word that leads you to spiritual maturity].14 It was to this end that He called you through our gospel [the good news of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection], so that you may obtain and share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 So then, brother and sisters, stand firm and hold [tightly] to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.”
  • Any teaching that does not glorify Christ is false.
  • Examine all teachings.
  • Don’t be complacent about them.
  • Match them to the Word.

Prayer Points
  • Father, keep me by Your Spirit from hearing or believing any teaching that does not glorify Christ.
  • Lord, help me not to say or teach anything that does not glorify Jesus.
  • Father, fill me with the Holy Spirit so I can disseminate the full and complete truth only.
  • Lord, let my life be a life that loves the truth, is full of the truth and bears the truth.
  • Holy Spirit, help us to be completely yielded to You, allowing You access to every area of our lives. Help us to obey Your instructions because You are the Spirit of Truth and will never lead us astray.
  • Come Holy Spirit and settle upon us again. Deal with every individual as You see fit.
  • Lord, ignite a fresh thirst in our hearts for Your presence.
  • Lord, as we tarry in the place of prayer, fill our vessels to overflowing again in Jesus’ name.
  • Holy Spirit, we invite You to take Your rightful place in our lives today. Abide with us and cause us to experience Your presence every moment of every day.
  • Father, anoint us/me afresh as Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power.
  • Holy Spirit, fill me with the truth (Jesus) so that my life will always bear the truth.

Prayerfully sing this song:

He will fill our hearts today to overflowing.
As the Lord commanded you,
“Bring your vessels, not a few.”
He will fill our hearts today to overflowing
With the Holy Ghost and power.

My Eternal Comfort Through the Suffering of Jesus

Join This HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

Hebrews 2:10-18 (KJV)

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. 13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

As true children of God, our earthly challenges and whatever we suffer for our Faith are pointers that solidify our eternal comfort in God, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

PRIVILEGES THAT ARE POINTERS TO OUR “ETERNAL COMFORT”
Believing on the name of Jesus – The Name that gives us an exceeding weight of glory here on earth and in heaven: met all the conditions in heaven, on earth and under the earth for our benefits (Philippians 2:9-11).

John 1:12 - “But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
Prayer:

- Thank You Lord for “The Name of Jesus” that has met all the conditions both in heaven    and here on earth for me.
- Lord increase my faith in the name of Jesus, and the power that is embedded in it.
- Help me to endure all hardship that are tagged to my perfection in the Name of Jesus.
- Baptise me into all the divine benefits that are in The Name of Jesus.

Endearing relationship with Christ – mysterious relationship that releases consecrated. influences upon us through the sanctifying Spirit of God (John 20:22-23).

2nd Thessalonians 2: 13-14 –“13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer:

- Lord please help me to live the nature of Christ, carrying Your Will and Your Mind in all things.
- Align my life with the consecrated influences that accompany my eternal comfort.
- Make my life and labour the avenue of Your glory.
- Baptise me with the knowledge of my oneness with Christ, and keep me rooted in this knowledge.

The privilege of being called brethren with Christ – not only as in the flesh, but also as spirit to spirit. Jesus had first class experience of griefs and temptations. (Hebrews 2:18)

Hebrews 4:15-16 - “14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Prayer:

- Lord please increase my capacity for the power that dominates sin and satan.
- Open my eyes to what makes me the same with Jesus in everything, and in every way.
- Lord please deliver me from all overwhelming situations that are beclouding my stand in You

- GRANT ME A LASTING ENCOUNTER THAT SOLIDIFIES MY COMFORT IN CHRIST THROUGH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – “THE COMFORTER”!

Grace For Grace

Join This HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

John 1:12-16 (KJV)
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

John 1:12-16 (TLB)
11-12 Even in his own land and among his own people, the Jews, he was not accepted. Only a few would welcome and receive him. But to all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust him to save them. 13 All those who believe this are reborn!—not a physical rebirth resulting from human passion or plan—but from the will of God. 14 And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness* and truth. And some of us have seen his glory*—the glory of the only Son of the heavenly Father!* 15 John pointed him out to the people, telling the crowds, “This is the one I was talking about when I said, ‘Someone is coming who is greater by far than I am—for he existed long before I did!’” 16 We have all benefited from the rich blessings he brought to us—blessing upon blessing heaped upon us!

John 1:12-16 (NIV)
12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.

Through the Grace of God:
The power to become the true children of God has been released unto us and upon us from the beginning.
It is very important to trust in the fulness of Christ so as to activate the grace needed, to confirm the grace available, for God's boundless grace in our lives.
But as many of us that have received Him – carry the baptism of the mystery in the fulness of Christ, have the power to consent to The Gospel, have the right to become and comprehend with all saints (Ephesians 3:15-18)
Prayer:
Lord please reveal and deal what is limiting my understanding of the finished work of Calvary.
Increase my capacity to consent to the mystery of the Gospel, and enlarge my life in walking in every aspect of the segment of the Gospel.
Help me to continually walk in the honour that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has bestowed upon my life. (Psalm 149:9)

The Word became flesh – was also a subject to the calamities and struggles of human nature, made weak in every way to pave way for crucifixion, but yet! did not stop to become the Word of God! (Hebrews 2: 14-18)
Prayer:
Lord please collide afresh with anything that is limiting me in becoming the joy of many generations.
Uproot any other tree that is growing along, with an aim to obstruct my growth into the tree of righteousness (the planting of the Lord).
Lord please make me Your true voice, and Your true witness in this generation and for generations to come.

And we beheld His Glory – the disciples saw the brightness of God's glory in Jesus in His days in the flesh, and they built their lives on that testimony.
Prayer:
Lord please do not hide Yourself under the veil of parables in my life, and in my labour in Your Kingdom.
Help me to continually live in the fulness of Your grace and truth, where I am made fit for You and all that concerns Your Kingdom everyday of my life,

And of his fulness have we all receivedGrace for Grace”, one measure of grace in something for another higher level of grace in that thing, from one level of a measure to its full measure – a level of grace becoming a pledge or platform for another level of grace!
Prayer:
Lord please help me to grow in the image of Your Grace, and make my life compatible with this growth.
Activate the fulness of Jesus in every area of my life, make me a true witness and a true voice of Your Grace.

Make my life a testimony of the Mystery of the Gospel, renew my stand in the message of The Cross. HELP ME TO FUNCTION PROPERLY IN THE GRACE THAT SERVES AS A PLATFORM FOR ANOTHER GRACE.
